children's press, based in Dublin, has been
in business for 21 years. Their aim is to
publish books of a higher than average quality
for children and young adults, and so encourage
the love of reading by making their books
as fun and lively as possible

Children's Laureate
| The
award winning author Michael Morpurgo was
announced as the new Children's Laureate
in May 2003. He is the third person to fill
the role, following Quentin Blake and Anne
Fine, and has already made his mark with
his comments on Britain's education system!.
As Laureate he wants to reach as many children
as possible with his love of stories |

Merlin
claims to be Ireland's newest publisher, having
opened for business in 2000. Since then, however,
its rise has been meteoric Rapid expansion in
2001 allowed them to buy the assets of Wolfhound
Press, a publishing company established in 1975
with an established reputation for producing
high quality books of Irish interest.
Travelling
books are proud to feature a selection of Merlin
titles in our book fair.
